Andrew Martin better known to wrestling fans as Test from his days in World Wrestling Entertainment(WWE) passed away on March 13 2009. A lot of people are wondering how come there was no highlights of his career with them or how come his name was never mentioned on any of the shows following his death like they did with Eddie Guerrero & Chris Benoit ?  WWE posted a statement on its site on the 14th  now before I say what I was going to about the statement let me first say this he worked for them from 1998-2004 & then again from 2006-2007. With that being said all the could come up with was 4 freaking linesto say about the man are you people serious. This man worked his butt off for you & made you money & all you can come up with is 4 sentences. Its common knowledge that Andrew has some addiction issue & WWE paid for him to go to rehab but I wonder did they try and distance themselves from him due to his addiction ? Either way they could have given his passing a little more thought other then a 4 sentence statement.

My head is spinning at the amount of things that have been happening in the NFL as of late. Trades are flying left & right rumors of who is being traded are all over. I will say there are a few things that have pissed me off . The first is Kurt Warner went to visit the San Francisco 49er now seriously. What the heck are you kidding me ? He went on & on about thinking about retiring or staying with the Cardinals. he also said in an interview that its not about the money but come to find out he is a free agent & I guess contract talks with the Cardinals have stalled about the money so now he is running off to the 49ers so hmm I guess it is about the money.

Arizona gave him a chance when no other team would & now he is repaying them but doing this I think its wrong. I know that football is a business & you have to look out for yourself but he has a great team there in Az with people he knows & has played with. Why would you want to mess that up by going someplace new & learning all over again with a new set of guys. I honestly hope he stays with Arizona  if him & Bolden stays they can recreate what they did this last season.

Off Season Part 2

So a lot has happened in football since I last posted so I am going to try & talk about the new stuff along with the things I promised in the last post. The problems with the Eagles aren’t going to go away until they decide what to do about Andy Reid & Donovan McNabb. The two of them together just can’t seem to get to the big game they can’t be consistent I think it was a mistake for then to let Jeff Garcia go a couple of years ago but that is just me. You have to begin to wonder what the problem is you can’t keep getting to that far into the playoffs & only get to the big game once every one keeps looking to lay the blame somewhere but no one seems to be trying to fix the problem .

One has to wonder if LaDamien Tomlinson is beginning to worry about his spot in San Diego. The Chargers threw their franchise tag on RB Darren Sproles & the Chargers GM A.J. Smith said “he plans on talking to Sproles agent about a long-tern deal. But in the same breath Smith says he wants to pursue Tomlinson also this comes only weeks after making fun of LT’s comments to him being traded. The rumors in Dallas are that T.O quite possibly may or may not be there next year. If you are speaking from the money standpoint I have to say if you have to pay him the money you owe him then why not play him ? But if you are looking at it from a teammate commrodarie then maybe its better if you don’t bring him back.

According to Plaxico Burgess’s agent he wants out of New York & away from the Giants. As we found out earlier in the season Plaxico has been in a lot of trouble with the Giants the whole time he has been with the team. There has been a number of times when he should have been suspended & wasn’t so he has to wonder if the next team he goes to if he actually leaves is going to put up with all the crap that The Giants have put up with. Adam Jones’s career may be over after his last stint in Dallas trouble seems to follow him where ever he goes. He has had a number of chances to keep his nose clean but he has yet to do so. Someone may pick him up again but I don’t think its going to be a big name team.

No Way Out Results….

Another great WWE PPV & this time from my state of Washington.  They had some great matches on this wrestling card.

Raw Elimination Chamber Match (World Heavyweight Title)-John Cena(c) vs Kane, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Mike Knox & Chris Jericho-~Edge ended up coming out the victor in this match. He planted him self in the match after attacking Kofi Kingston. he won by pinning Rey Mysterio. So even though he lost one title he gained another in the same night. So with this win I guess Edge will be moving from Smackdown to Raw but what does this mean for his relationship with Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero. Also with Orton winning the Royal Rumble will he decide to go up against his one ex tag team partner & friend Edge ??

Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match (WWE Championship)-Edge(c) vs Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, Triple H, Big Show & Vladamir Kozlov~Once again The Cerebral Assassin is back on top winning back his title he lost to Jeff Hardy not that long ago. Edge was taken out early by Hardy so in the end he wasn’t a factor. In the end it was Triple H getting the 1-2-3 over the Undertaker after hitting him with the Pedigree.

No Holds Barred Match-Shane McMahon vs Randy Orton-Randy won the match & has seem to have gotten the upper hand in this cat & mouse game he has going with the McMahon’s since kicking Vince McMahon in the head as he was going to tell Orton he was fired, well that is what everyone thought he was going to say. I am sure that this feud is not over by a  long shot.

All or Nothing Match-Shawn Michaels vs JBL-~Shawn Michaels came out on the end of this win. A win that was needed Michaels but this name on the line in this match with JBL with him winning JBL owes Michaels all the money due to him on his contract even though now that he won Michaels is no longer working for JBL. But anyone who knows JBL also knows that he doesn’t take a loss easily so will he be out for blood or just let bygones ?

ECW Championship  Title Match-Jack Swagger vs Finlay-Jack Swagger keeps racking up the wins as he defeated Finlay to keep his title.  If a wrestler as good as Finlay wasn’t able to knock Swagger off his pedestal then who can ?

Offseason Part 1

Well the football season has been over for a little while & now comes all the off season question, trades, hirings, firings and best of all the NFL combine & Draft. We all know that Brett has decided to hang up his cleats yet again is it for good this time hmm who knows but I think it is. I am a huge Farve fan but I think its time Brett leaves football while he still can on his own. Then we have Kurt Warner will he or won’t he return next year ? If there was a 100% guarantee that if Kurt came back they would go to the Super Bowl next year I would say go for it & see if you can’t win this one but as we all know there is no guarantees like that. I would rather see Kurt go out with the season they had this year then to have him come back next season & do horribly. Because the first time they hit a skid people are going to start saying well maybe he should have just retired last year.

There are a few players who have come out and said they wanted to be traded Larry Johnson, Chad Johnson, Anquan Boldin just to name a few. No offense but what has Larry Johnson done for the Chiefs lately accept get arrested, embarrass the team & bad mouth the team ? Chad has been asking for a trade I think for at least the last 2 seasons & has yet to get one. I can kind of see why he wants out of Cincinnati it seems whenever something goes wrong they blame him but then he turns around & does stupid things that draw unneeded attention to himself so its a 50-50 blame. The team itself need a makeover from top to bottom cause whatever they are doing just isn’t working anymore. I honestly hope Anquan & the Cardinals can come to an agreement so that he stays with the team. Even if Warner leaves the team & Leinart takes over he is still going to need the team of Boldin & Fitzgerald.

In the next post I will talk about, Andy Reid & Donovan McNabb, LaDamien Tomlinson, T.O.,Plaxico Buress,

Adam Jones & a few more people. I don’t want to overload you guys all at once so I am going to split this up into various parts.

The Truth Will Set You Free..Supposedly

Alex Rodriguez has finally spoken out about the steroid allegations that came out about him using steroids from 2001-2003. He said he did so due to the pressure of being the highest paid player in baseball. Now I am not the biggest A-Rod fan but I do give him credit for owning up to his mistakes & being honest but I don’t buy his excuse for why he used them . I am thinking you had to have been a good enough player to become the highest paid player in baseball before you began using steroids.

So is he being honest about just using them from 2001-2003 or did he start them earlier. He says he stopped in 2003 well from what I have seen he has had a damn good career even since then so is he using now or is he just that good with out them ? I honestly think that the first time an athlete tests positive for a banned substance the public should know about it not find out about it on their 3rd positive test. MLB need to do a better job of their testing, actually I think all sports need to find better ways of testing their players & come up with some stiffer penalties because if you think about it fining these guys one or two game checks is nothing to them with all the money that they make these days.

I would love to know which team has the highest number of players who have tested positive for steroids since they began testing. There also need to be some ramifications for teams who know their players are using & don’t say anything or for people who tip off players that they are about to be tested.

The Super Bowl…

At first I wasn’t going to make a post about the Super Bowl but then I figured well why not I had some things that were irking me so here is the place to put them. First I will start off by saying congratulations to the Steelers. I was hoping the Cardinals would win but it wasn’t so. To be quite honest I am glad that it wasn’t the Giants or Chargers who won. I am sure I pissed off some people by saying that but sorry I am not a Changers fan & it seems like half the world just knew that the Giants were going back to the Super Bowl this year but it didn’t happen.

This Super Bowl was reminiscent of the Seahawks/Steelers Super Bowl a few years ago. This was a great game to the only problem that I had with this Super Bowl is the same problem that I had with the game yesterday is the freaking referees. Yet again these guys are either blind or seem to forget how to call a game. There was a Steelers player that hit a Arizona player while he was down on the ground & also when he got up well it ended up being a personal foul. I am sorry but that guy should have been kicked out of the game I don’t care if it had been a Cardinals player, Steelers player or whomever from whatever other team there are some things you just don’t need to do. Had I been the coach I would have been reaming him a new one for costing the team some yards.

One more thing that bothered me and this was the biggest I had nothing to do with the game itself. They say you can vote for the MVP until the end of the game & then they will announce the winner. Well if that is the case can someone please tell me how in the hell I was able to keep voting even after all that ? I even went completely out of the site and went back in & I was able to keep voting so I am wondering do those votes even count or do they have someone else pick the MVP & just tell people their votes actually count ??

Some Don’t Play Just For The Money…

In this day and age of  fending for yourself & making sure you get what is yours its seems not everyone thinks that way.  Someone asked Arizona Cardinals player Larry Fitzgerald if he would be up to doing something that would help the Cardinals if needed. Without hesitation he said “No problem”.  The feelings he has playing this far into the post season makes him want to do whatever it takes to get back there.

When Fitzgerald said he would do anything he meant he would redo his contract so that the Cardinals can keep Anquan Boldin around.  Fitzgerald & Boldin have played together for a number of years but durning training camp this season Boldin said he wouldn’t re-sign & wanted to be traded . He felt he had been lied to due to the fact that management had not made good on a promise for a new contract.

Boldin & Fitzgerald together are one of if not the best receiving duos in the league.  Their stats speak from themselves.  Even with missing 4 games this season Boldin had 11 scores with catching 89 passes for 1,038 yeards. Fitzgerald had 12 touchdowns before the post season, he caught 96 passes for 1,431 yards not bad for them at all .

The 2009 WWE Royal Rumble

As a kid when I was a die hard wrestling fan there were only big events I begged my mom to get & that was the Royal Rumble & Wrestlemania but usually I only got to see one or the other  as I have gotten older & strayed away from wrestling I don’t watch it as much as I used to but I do keep up on it. I am still drawn to these 2 events but it has gotten hard with things like the Elimination Chamber & things like that. I like the Royal Rumble mostly for the battle royal I think they need to add more then 30 people make it last a little bit longer. But I figured for people who didn’t have a chance to watch the Rumble I would clue you in on who won what. Of course with my own 2 cents thrown in here & there.

Jack Swagger(c) vs Matt Hardy-Jack Swagger retained the ECW tile he took from Matt Hardy a few weeks ago but I am sure Matt is not going to stop coming after Jack to get his title back.

Beth Phoenix(c) vs Melina-Finally have ended the 5 month title rain of so so called Glamazon. Beth just couldn’t get the job done even with her wimpy partner Santino & her new intern Rosa Mendes. This battle is far from over Beth doesn’t take losing to well Melina better watch her back.

John Cena(c) vs JBL-You may as well said John Cena had 2 opponents in this match JBL on the inside & Shawn Michael’s on the outside. Michael’s sold his soul to the so called wrestling god to make money to take care of his family in the wake of the stock market loss. Even with the cards stacked against him & a does of Sweet Chin Music John Cena kept his title.

Jeff Hardy(c) vs Edge-Hardy has had a bit of bad luck the last 2 weeks first he was in a hit & run accident & then during a live event he was in the middle of a pyrotechnics accident but Hardy didn’t think they were accidents he thought they were the work of his opponent Edge. But the shock of the night wasn’t the fact that Edge defeated Jeff it was how Edge won. Jeff’s own brother Matt turned on him & hit Jeff in the head with a chair. So this has me wondering was Matt behind all the so called accidents Jeff  has endured recently ? Was Matt mad that Jeff still had his title ?  Since the beginning of their tag team career as the Hardy Boys Jeff has always been the more popular of the 2. Even as they began singles careers Jeff was more popular. I think even though Matt is older he got tired of being second fiddle to Jeff. I am sure the Hardy’s relationship will never be the same after this.

Winner of the 30 man Battle Royal-Randy Orton- With winning the rumble Orton has secured himself a spot at Wrestlemania but one has to wonder if him punting Mr. McMahon in the head last week on Raw will have any repercussions on his spot at Wrestlemania.
